Tetra Tech awarded $11.2M good governance initiative contract

Tetra Tech received an $11.2 million contract award to work with the Georgian government to link its various branches and provide more transparency to the public.

The U.S. Agency for International Development wants to get the public involved in the government and have the government release more information on its actions.

The country elected a new government in 2012. It shifted constitutional power from the presidency to the Office of the Prime Minister and also advanced good governance reforms and initiatives. USAID officials say it’s an opportune time to get processes, procedures, and systems working in tandem.

Tetra Tech’s contract is five years and based on results and outcomes.

The company provides consulting, engineering and technical services.

USAID announced the award Jan. 6.
