Raytheon taps new general counsel

Raytheon has named Frank Jimenez general counsel for the company. He succeeds Jay Stephens, who is retiring from the company on Mar. 31, 2015.

Before joining the company, Jimenez was most recently general counsel, secretary and managing director, Corporate Affairs of Bunge Ltd. Before that, he worked as general counsel and corporate secretary of Xylem Inc., a spin-off from ITT Corp.

Over the course of his career, Jimenez has also served as deputy general counsel for the Defense Department, principal deputy general counsel of the Navy and chief of staff at the Housing and Urban Development.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Miami, a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College, an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a law degree from Yale Law School.
