The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is looking for a commercial, off-the-shelf product to help its eAcquisition initiative.
The product should support USPTO with acquisition workload planning, distribution of the work, and workload tracking. It also should help with evaluations of vendor proposals, and folder and file management.
The USPTO processes about 3,000 procurement actions annually, valued at nearly $1 billion. The majority of the agency’s purchases are IT professional services, including software development and project management, IT hardware and software, and furniture.
The USPTO primarily uses multi-award blanket purchase agreements, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts, and the General Services Administration Schedules contracts.
For this acquisition, USPTO officials will host demonstrations to better understand the products available on the market and further define requirements documents.
USPTO released its solicitation Dec. 19. Responses are due by Jan. 9. Demonstrations will begin Jan. 20.
