Georgia Tech picks up $44.5M sensor research contract

The Georgia Tech Applied Research Corp. has been picked to provide sensor research for the Air Force under a $44.5 million contract.

The contract is part of the Air Force’s electronic warfare-sensor technology, modeling, simulation and analysis research program known as EWTA.

Georgia Tech will conduct collaborative research aimed at helping the Air Force improve countermeasures and information warfare against current and evolving threats.

The EWTA conducts experiments and demonstrations to provide electronic warfare and sensor technologies and concepts. It also works to validate the mission effectiveness of these technologies.

The contract was a sole-source award to Georgia Tech.
