First SEWP V protests filed at GAO

Several incumbents missed the cut for NASA's new $20 billion SEWP V contract, and now the first one has filed a bid protest, stalling the start of the lucrative contract. Who's going to be next?
The first group of bid protests has been filed with the Government Accountability Office over NASA’s $20 billion SEWP V awards.
So far, four companies have filed protests for not making the cut on the huge hardware and software contract.
The most noticeable name among the protesters is Unicom Government Inc., which has the old GTSI business as well as a sizeable portion of MicroTech, which it acquired earlier this year. Unicom also is an incumbent on SEWP IV.
Other protesters are BahFed Corp., NCS Technologies Inc. and KPaul Properties.
Given that NASA received 233 proposals and so far has made awards to 73 companies, the potential is great for many more protests before this is through.
You also have to consider that there are several incumbents from SEWP IV that haven’t captured SEWP V awards today, including Emtec Federal, Intelligent Decisions, Sword & Shield, Thundercat Technologies, Three Wire Systems and Technica.
It is doubtful that NASA will make its Nov. 1 start date for SEWP V.
