FBI eyes new financial management contract

The FBI is working on plans for a task order contract to help it develop multiple financial IT systems.

The FBI’s financial division already has large-scale financial IT systems, such as the Asset Management System and IBM’s workplace management system known as TRIRIGA. The FBI plans to continue those effort, according the sources sought notice.

Under the IDIQ, task orders would include developing, enhancing, integrating and sustaining financial IT systems. Companies must be capable of system testing, analyzing data and visualization, developing and designing systems, and integrating them inside the FBI and possibly outside of the agency.

The contract will keep a pool of qualified vendors available for projects related to the current systems and new systems. Officials want vendors with experience IT financial systems.

The FBI released a sources sought notice to get feedback from companies about the effort. Thenotice was released Oct. 30. Responses are due by Nov. 17.
