Automated machines beginning to replace jobs

Find opportunities — and win them.

Gartner predicts that one in three jobs will be converted to software, robots and smart machines by 2025, according to Information Week, and what’s driving this trend are improvements in hardware and software.

Two of the front-running software platforms for autonomous systems are the Continuous Activity Scheduling Planning Execution and Re-Planning (CASPER) and the Control Architecture for Robotic Agent Command and Sensing (CARACaS), both of which originated in NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Information Week reported.

For now, this trend can be seen with autonomous vehicles, which are automated on a few different levels, but other technologies will follow. Adoption of these automated technologies will be slow, however, Information Week said.
