SAIC wins $423.8M recompete

SAIC hangs onto a $432.8M contract to support the military with a variety of logistics and base maintenance services.
Science Applications International Corp. has hung on to a lucrative contract to provide the military with a variety of logistics support and base maintenance services.
SAIC was the incumbent on the Defense Logistics Agency contract and bested four other contractors vying for the work under the new $423.8 million contract. The company has held the contract since 1998.
Work will be based out of Hawaii. The Maintenance Repair and Operations Tailored Logistics Support contract is for two years, and it also has two 18-month option periods.
The contract is used by the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies.
Services include online reporting systems, product distribution and delivery, consulting, material inspection, emergency fulfillment, and other services, according to SAIC.
In addition to Hawaii, work will also take place on Guam and Kwajalein Atoll.
