Lockheed sub contract gets $117.8M Navy boost

The Navy has modified a Lockheed Martin submarine imaging contract to the tune of $117.8M.
The Navy has modified a Lockheed Martin submarine imaging contract to the tune of $117.8 million.
The modification exercises an option for engineering servivces and support of the AN/BVY-1 Integrated Submarine Imaging System and on-board repair and part kits.
The imaging sytem provides mission critical, all-weather, visual, and electronic search, digital image management, indication, warning, and platform architecture interface capabilities.
The services the Navy wants from Lockheed include design, development, testing, reverse engineering, technology insertion/refreshment, engineering services, field engineering services, and system support.
Th work will take place at a variety of locations, but mostly in Manassas, Va. Other locations include Virginia Beach, Va., Northampton, Mass., Arlington, Va., Fairfax, Va., and Newport, R.I.
