Leidos wins $49.4 million contract to support threat warning, countermeasure response

Leidos has won a $49.4 million contract to support Air Force threat warning and countermeasure response.

Under the contract, Leidos will provide research and development and perform testing for threat warning and countermeasure response including missile warning, laser warning and hostile fire indication, the Defense Department said in a release.

Leidos will also look into detecting missile, laser and fire threats and will develop countermeasures for these threats.

Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by September 2020.
