Leidos continues counter-IED support under $13.8M contract

Leidos has won a $13.8 million contract to extend the services for the Army’s Night Eagle counter-IED detection system in Afghanistan.

The Night Eagle system is an airborne intelligence system that can collect measurement and signature intelligence and imagery intelligence data during ISR missions, according to Global Security.

Under the contract, Leidos will provide logistics hardware/software maintenance, flight operations, and the associated facility and system support.

Work will take place in Afghanistan, at various locations in the United States and in the United Arab Emirates.

All work is set to be completed by Dec. 25, 2015.
