Are contract delays bad for your business?
That is the question we are trying to get at with our newest Washington Technology Insider Report.
We’ve kicked off our work on that subject with a survey that is going out to WT readers and WT Insiders.
I’ve included the link here in case you don’t get one of our emails specifically promoting the survey.
It’s a quick survey, and through it, we are trying to quantify how big a problem delays are, when they hit during the procurement cycle and what companies are doing to adjust to them.
Our assumption is that delays are bad for business, but if our findings don’t support that premise, we won’t hesitate to deflate the conventional wisdom.
There are several opportunities in the survey to comment on the 'why' part of the equation, so don’t hesitate to sound off. Often, the best insights come from the open-ended questions we ask in these surveys.
We’ll present the results in a few weeks as part of an exclusive report for our WT Insiders. These special reports are one of the benefits of being a WT Insider member. Click here for more information on the insider program.
Once the research is done, we’ll likely have an in-person event to give you a chance to discuss the issue with your peers. Stay tuned for more information on that.
We’ve done five special research reports since launching the Insider program last year. A sixth on 2015 purchasing plans is in the works and will be released in October. The report on contract delays will be number seven.
And if you have a suggestion for a topic, let me know.
In meantime, take our survey.
