Vencore loses NASA contract, looking at layoffs

Due of a recent NASA contract loss amounting to up to $250 million, Vencore (formerly The SI Organization) may be looking to lay off about 200 employees and subcontractors, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The contract, called the Environmental Test and Integration Services II contract (ETIS II), is a larger follow-up contract to a $190 million contract originally awarded to QinetiQ North America, which the SI Organization acquired in April 2014, before it rebranded itself as Vencore.
The follow-on contract was awarded to Sierro Lobo Inc.
