LPTA discussion goes live at WT event

We are hosting a breakfast event Aug. 19 to discuss our WT Insider Report on LPTA and learn more about how contractors can navigate this very unpopular procurement process.
The strong emotions sparked by our study of lowest price, technically acceptable contracting have led us to put together a live event for Aug. 19 to discuss the impact of LPTA and how to move forward.
I’ll provide an overview of the WT Insider Report: LPTA: A hate-hate relationship. We’ll also have Bob Lohfeld of Lohfeld Consulting, Steve Charles of ImmixGroup and Lenn Vincent, retired vice admiral and Forrestal-Richardson Industry Chair at the Defense Acquisition University on a panel to discuss the intricacies of LPTA.
Lohfeld will give a perspective from the services segment of the market, Charles from product sales, and Vincent will give a government perspective.
The event will be at the Tower Club in Tysons Corner, Va., and it is free for WT Insiders and government employees. Others pay $49. Here is a link to the registration page.
Based on the conversation I had with the panelists to prepare for the event, it should be a lively discussion. Our goal is that attendees will walk away a bit wiser and also be armed with some insights that can help them navigate this LPTA world.
The breakfast event will be interactive, and we’ll be asking the audience for their input as well, so come armed with your questions and comments.

Our plan is that this will be the first in an ongoing series of events that we are calling our Power Breakfasts. They will be a mix of networking and content with an emphasis on getting a good, lively discussion going. Some future topics we are considering include bid protests, the impact of the mid-term elections and surviving government audits.
