Amazon Web Services has officially launched its cloud solution for the Central Intelligence Agency.
Amazon Web Services has officially launched its cloud solution for the Central Intelligence Agency, according to NextGov.
The cloud is a public cloud computing environment built on private premises and will eventually provide all seventeen intelligence agencies with access to a cloud infrastructure for computing, analytics, storage, collaboration and other services, NextGov reported.
Amazon’s $600 million contract with the CIA was hotly contested by IBM at the end of 2013.
