Northrop Grumman is making good on its plans to go global as it continues its partnering efforts with Australian companies to develop the company’s global supply chain in Australia.
The company has contracted more than $14 million in contracts to over 15 companies in Australia that range in enterprise size from small to medium.
These companies have partnered with Northrop Grumman in either a first-tier subcontractor role or a lower tier supplier role, Northrop Grumman said, and the type of work has included U.S. military aircraft programs, space studies, cybersecurity initiatives and logistics.
In a 2014 Top 100 interview, Northrop Grumman Information Systems president Kathy Warden said that the company expected a great deal of its growth to be found in the international space, and the company is continuing to move in that direction as it recently issued requests for information to 10 Australian small and mid-sized companies for future high altitude long endurance programs.
Going forward, the company said that it will continue to leverage its acquisitions of M5 Network Securities and Qantas Defense Services to further expand its Australian supply chain.
