Lockheed wins Iraqi air defense work

Lockheed Martin will take on logistics support for the Iraqi Integrated Air Defense System under an $11.6 million foreign military sales contract.

Lockheed Martin will take on logistics support for the Iraqi Integrated Air Defense System under an $11.6 million foreign military sales contract.

The company’s Mission Systems and Training group won the work to provide services such as a engineering support services, on-site support, logistics management, technical support and preventative and corrective maintenance.

Other services include engineering analysis and recommendations for logistical and lifecycle support for the air defense system and equipment.

Work will be performed throughout Iraqi. The contract runs through June 2015 and the work is a directed sole-source contract.

The U.S. Air Force acted as the contracting activity for the 100 percent foreign military sales contract.
