DISA wants more info on mobility of the future

Find opportunities — and win them.

The Defense Information Systems Agency has released more details on what challenges it is looking to meet as it brings more mobility technology online.

FCW.com has an update on the Defense Information Systems Agency source sought notice we ran a couple weeks back.

New information out includes a DISA app store request for information. One challenge is attracting developers given the military’s high-security requirements.

Some other challenges include integrating aps with both DOD and commercial systems, hosting apps in a secure environment and developing apps across Microsoft, Apple, Android and Blackberry operating systems, according to the FCW report.

DISA also is looking for a desktop replacement Windows tablet that would support email, chat and other applications.

And finally, while no DISA customer has asked for HTML 5 application support the expectation is that it will be a future requirement.
