CMS names 15 winners of $7B RMADA contract
The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare named 15 companies as the winners of $7 billion RMADA contract for data analytics and other services. We have the list of winners.
The Centers for Medicaid and Medicaid Services have announced 15 winners of its Research Management Assessment Design and Analysis contract, a $7 billion vehicle.
Late last week, I was chasing possible winners after getting an announcement from Abt Associates that they had won.
But everyone else at the time, including CMS, was silent. Now, they have an announcement on FBO.gov.
The 15 winners are:
- Abt Associates Inc.
- Acumen LLC
- American Institutes for Research
- Arbor Research Collaborative for Health
- Booz Allen Hamilton Inc.
- Deloitte
- IMPAQ International
- The Lewin Group
- Mathematica Policy Research
- NORC at the University of Chicago
- RAND Corporation
- RTI International
- Social & Scientific Systems Inc.
- Truven Health Analytics
- Regents of The University of Colorado
The companies and academic organizations will help CMS develop and test research and payment and service delivery models to reduce expenditures for Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (or CHIP) and uninsured beneficiaries. CMS wants to lower costs but not reduce the quality of care but to maintain or improve it.
Services include big data, analytics, modeling and simulation, data collection, surveys and other research.
In its announcement, CMS said it received 23 bids and made 15 awards, so we will be tracking the bid protest docket. With a $7 billion ceiling, a few protests from the losing bidders should be expected.
