The Bureau of Land Management plans to set up a five-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for IT application services.

The bureau’s National Operations Center’s Division of Information Resource Management (DIRM) will set aside the IDIQ for small businesses. BLM expects to have three companies on the IDIQ.

The bureau released the presolicitation notice July 25. It expects to issue a solicitation by Aug. 25.

The bureau wants help in improving its practices and procedures to match the constantly changing IT. Through the IDIQ, the bureau needs services to secure long-term relationships with providers for key business and technology services, streamline procurement processes, provide technology solutions and alternative approaches to meet business goals. It also wants to save money by hosting competitions for IT solutions among the companies on the IDIQ.

The IDIQ’s functional areas may include application lifecycle management, helpdesk operations, geospatial technology, and support for capital planning, system security, and system engineering.
