Northrop Grumman wins $9M contract to support Korean space satellite program
Northrop Grumman has won a $9 million contract to support the Korea Aerospace Research Institute’s GEO-KOMPSAT-2 space satellite program.
Northrop Grumman has won a $9 million contract to support the Korea Aerospace Research Institute’s GEO-KOMPSAT-2 space satellite program.
Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will provide its Scalable Space Inertial Reference Unit, which supplies critical rotation rate data that enables the stabilization, pointing and altitude control of satellites and space vehicles, the company said in a release.
The satellites that Northrop is supporting provide payloads for meteorological, space weather, ocean and environment monitoring missions.
