Air Force needs backup for cyberspace network center

The Air Force needs to beef up its cross domain solution because it does not meet mission or accreditation requirements.

However, the 92nd Information Operations Squadron lacks manpower to build, certify and accredit the extension of the 92 IOS Operations Center Network.

The Air Force is looking for a mobile, deployable and secure means to access to the operations center’s networks during deployed operations. The departments also needs a Secure Tactical Command and Control capability.

The technical solution must be able to run on multiple operating systems and at multiple security levels and multiple domains. Through a single console, an operator needs to shift from direct access to commercial Internet to dedicated classified analysis networks to common classified networks.

The final solution will be demonstrated as a “stand alone” piece, but will be integrated as a subcomponent of a larger system known as the “Cyberspace Vulnerability Assessment/Hunter Weapon Systems.”

The Air Force released a sources sought notice for market research as its scans the market for potential providers.

The Air Force released the notice June 23. Responses are due July 7.
