Lockheed Martin, Maritime Systems and Sensors, has won a $54.7 million modification to an AEGIS modernization contract.

The modification supports the Aegis Platform Systems Engineering Agent (PSEA) activities and Aegis Modernization Advanced Capability Build engineering. The PSEA manages in-service combat systems configurations as well as the integration of new or upgraded capability into CG57 Class and DDG 51 Class ships.

Funding in the full amount of $54.7 million was obligated at the time of the award, with $7 million expiring at the end of the current fiscal year.

Work is expected to be completed by September 2015.
