SRA International has nabbed a GSA Federal Public Key Infrastructure (FPKI) Management Authority contract worth up to $22 million.

The contract will entail operational, technical, design and advisory support for the FPKI, and includes one base year plus up to four option years.

FPKI is a project of multiple federal agencies designed to secure online information and allow cross-organizational data sharing, as well as facilitate communications between federal agencies and outside bodies including universities, state governments and commercial entities.

"Through its support to the FPKI program, SRA is helping the federal government increase the use of encrypted data storage while assisting in the migration away from passwords to more secure user identification and authorization on Federal systems," said SRA cybersecurity advisor Richard Clarke in an SRA news release.
