The modification exercises options for Cooperative Engagement Capability, a sensor netting system that distributes sensor and weapons data from existing radar and weapons systems in such a way as to provide a significantly improved “air picture” to decision makers. The system is meant to counter increasingly sophisticated threats from enemy aircraft, cruise missiles, etc.
Funds in the amount of $8,347,097 were obligated at the time of the award and will not expire at the end of the fiscal year.
Work is expected to be completed by October 2015.
