Raytheon wins $15.8M UAV support contract

Raytheon Co.'s intelligence, information and services division has won a $15.8 million contract with the Navy to support UAV rearch efforts..

The contract entails R&D support for the Tactical Control System, carrying the project past the baseline and into the Unmanned Aerial System Control Segment architecture.

Raytheon will integrate intuitive control systems, per the advice of field-testing fleet operators, and support testing and software operations for UAV deployment.

Work is expected to be completed in April 2016.

Funds in the amount of $4.2 million were obligated at time of award, $100,000 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
