The U.S. Office of Personnel Management and the General Services Administration are teaming up to manage a new jointly-managed, strategically sourced, multiple-award contract to support OPM’s Training and Management Assistance program.

The TMA program provides customized human capital and training services to all agencies, and this contract will be the largest government-wide strategically sourced solution for human capital and training services, according to the agencies.

The contract vehicle should be ready by second quarter of fiscal 2015, according to an agency memorandum.

It comes at a time when it is especially important to train the government workforce since “every agency is facing tightening budgets while also dealing with increasing demands for government services,” said GSA administrator Dan Tangherlini.
