EMC Corp. has won a 10-year, $130 million contract with the Social Security Administration to provide a data storage system and related systems.
EMC Corp. has won a 10-year, $130 million contract with the Social Security Administration to provide a data storage system.
SSA is looking for EMC to build an open systems enterprise disk storage infrastructure and related services. The contract is known as Enterprise Disk Storage Infrastructure and Services, or EDSIS.
Requirements include hardware, software, open systems disk storage, virtual tape libraries, de-duplication, virtualization and data protection, according to the solicitation posted on Deltek.
Warranty support, configuration and other support services also are included.
The contract has a five-year base and a five-year option.
EMC declined to comment on the award.
