DOD considering sharing procurement requirements with industry

The Defense Department has been talking about sharing procurement requirements to the federal contracting industry, even if the requirements never take effect, according to FCW.

The point of this is, FCW reported, is to get both industry and government on the same page in terms of budget priorities, even if the requirements never take effect,

This is not a new practice; acting assistant secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Alan Shaffer already lets industry eyes see procurement requirements for one particular program, FCW said.
