DLA sets aside $97.4M IDIQ for laptops, tablets

The Defense Logistics Agency is offering small businesses a five-year, $97.4 million contract for laptops and Android tablets and thin-clients.

DLA plans to award two indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contracts that are set aside for small businesses. The first contract for the laptops is valued at $53.4 million. The second contract for the tablets and thin-clients is valued at $44 million.

DLA expects to buy roughly 3,100 desktops and 770 laptops annually from the first contract, and 900 tablets and more than 5,100 thin-clients from the second.

As its primary objective, DLA is setting up the IDIQ to use its enterprise-wide buying power to get the best prices. DLA plans to make its source selections based on a lowest price technically acceptable criteria.

Companies have until May 19 to respond to the solicitation.
