Troy West leaves Dell, new fed leader named
Troy West, a long-time Dell executive in its public sector group, has left the company and been replaced by Steve Harris as vice president and general manager of Dell Federal.
Troy West, a Dell public sector executive for at least 14 years, has left the company and has been replaced by Steve Harris as vice president and general manager of Dell Federal.
Harris will work with George Newstrom, Dell Federal Services Federal Government general manager, to deliver integrated IT solutions to governments across the country, the company announced in a news release.
A company spokesman said that West left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Harris has been with the company for 16 years and previously led the education, state and local government business for Dell’s public sector segment. Before that, he worked in Dell’s higher education and advanced systems groups, in positions ranging from sales representative to manager.
In addition to running Dell Federal, West also has led the company's state and local business and Dell's European public sector and education business.
Tracy Pavillard will continue to lead Dell's civilian and channel sales teams and Ray McDuffie will continue leading Dell's intelligence team. Sean Berg leads Dell's defense business. All three will report to Harris.
