Leidos nabs $62m Air Force electronics contract

Leidos Inc. received a $62.5 million contract to support the Air Force’s Electronic Systems Center.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract will be used to preserve the Air Force’s Advanced Windows Planning System operations, such as source code inspections and interviews with users to test their knowledge of the system. The company will also develop new software and work on system engineering and architecture efforts to make sure AWPS is scalable and flexible enough for adding future missions and weapons into the system.

AWPS provides plan reviews and analysis capabilities, mapping, damage calculations, and data migration. It also has tools for performing interactive assignments, supporting analysis and query functions, and graphically displaying results.

AWPS is a subsystem of the Integrated Strategic Planning and Analysis Network (ISPAN) at U.S. Strategic Command.
