GD, HP protest $164M FDA data center award

General Dynamics and HP Enterprise Services have filed protests over FDA giving a $164 million data center contract to a small business.
Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services and a subsidiary of General Dynamics have filed separate bid protests objecting to a small business, Dynanet Corp., winning a $164 million FDA data center contract.
Dynanet was set to hold a job fair on Jan. 29 to fill multiple open positions it would have to fill under the contract.
All of that is on hold, though, as HP and GD’s Buccaneer Computer Systems & Services Inc. filed protests that stopped work on the contract.
The Government Accountability Office has until May 9 to rule on the protests.
The protests are challenging the evaluation that FDA conducted in picking Dynanet as the winner.
