DOD wants help running HQ services efficiently

The Defense Department is soliciting industry for administrative and professional and financial management services to keep its Washington Headquarters Services running efficiently.

The four-year, $45 million support services contract would allow the WHS to focus on its main mission goals of supporting the defense secretary and other senior officials. WHS works in an environment of rapidly changing threats in the defense field. Officials said the critical nature of WHS’ work requires it to have the resources to handle changes in the midst of and fiscal constraints.

WHS officials want support in financial management, strategic resource analysis and basic program analyses. They also need professional, executive-level administrative services.

The contract will be a small-business set aside.

The response deadline is Jan. 28.
