Raytheon wins $15.8M order for GPS receivers

Raytheon Co. has won a $15.8 million contract to deliver its MAGR 2000-S24 miniaturized airborne GPS receiver to the Air Force.

This order is the first order placed under a task order contract that Raytheon earlier this year with the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center.

The contract extends through September 2017.

The MAGR 2000-S24 is flown on 20 types of fixed- and rotary-wing platforms, providing navigation accuracy resistance to interference and jamming, Raytheon said in a release.

It has an open architecture, allowing the receiver to be easily modernized without having to replace the unit itself, Raytheon said.
