Maximus has won a $4.5 million contract to develop, manage and maintain an in-person assistance program to support West Virginia’s health insurance marketplace.

Maximus has won a $4.5 million contract to develop, manage and maintain an in-person assistance program to support West Virginia’s health insurance marketplace.

Under the contract, which was awarded by the West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner, Maximus will hire, train and manage around 60 people to be located in each of West Virginia’s 55 counties, the company said in a release.

The people will help educate consumers on their options for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act and also help with one-on-one enrollment assistance, Maximus said.
