Aerospace Corp. names new chairman, vice chairman

Aerospace Corp. has named vice chairman and former ambassador Barbara Barrett chairman of the board of trustees, and retired Air Force Lt. Gen. George Muellner, will serve as vice chairman.

Barrett was elected to the company’s board in 2006. She has served as ambassador to Finland, administrator of the FAA, vice chairman of the U.S. Civil Aeronautics Board, CEO of the American Management Association, and president of the Thunderbird School of Global Management ,the company said in a release.

Muellner was elected to the board in 2011. He has served as president of advanced systems for Boeing’s Integrated Defense Systems business unit, and served as senior vice president and general manager of the company’s Air Force Systems. He spent 31 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1998, the company said.
