AT&T Government Solutions has named Chris Smith vice president, Technology, where he will lead a team of 175 technologists in the development of a broad array of AT&T products and services focused on the federal market's needs.

AT&T Government Solutions has named Chris Smith vice president, Technology, where he will lead a team of 175 technologists in the development of a broad array of AT&T products and services focused on the federal market's needs.

Smith comes to the company from Accenture Federal Services.

He was formerly the chief information officer of the Agriculture Department, and has held senior positions with the GSA and IRS.

Smith will serve the company as an engine of innovation for AT&T in the federal sector, said Kay Kapoor, AT&T Government Solutions president.
