The fiscal year’s top 20 contracts, combined, have potential business worth $160 billion over the contracts’ lifetime, which is a 74 percent increase over the $92 billion value of those contracts from fiscal 2013, Federal Times reported.
A slew of RFPs should be issued in January, which Federal Times said might help temper the chaos that is coming from the government shutdown. More than half of fiscal 2014’s contracts will be task order contracts.
