Boeing wins $50M contract to support attack helicopters
Boeing Co. has won a $49.6 million contract to provide the Special Operations Command with engineering and other services for attack helicopters.
Boeing Co. has won a $49.6 million contract to provide the Special Operations Command with engineering and other services.
Under the contract, Boeing will provide engineering, analysis, test and technical support services and procurement in support of developmental, production and sustainment of the Mission Enhanced Little Bird aircraft, the Defense Department said.
The Mission Enhanced Little Bird is an attack variant of the AH-6 helicopter which is used for special operations in the Army.
Work will be performed in Arizona, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 26, 2018.
Funding in the amount of $5.4 million is obligated at the time of the award.
