QinetiQ North America wins $20M contract for TALON IV robots
QinetiQ North America has won a $20 million contract to provide Iraq with TALON IV robots.
QinetiQ North America has won a $20 million contract to provide Iraq with the company’s TALON IV military robots, spares and training.
This contract was awarded under the Foreign Military Sales program.
The TALON IV robot provides the Iraqi military’s explosive ordnance disposal technicians with a man-transportable capability to remotely perform reconnaissance and IED detection, QinetiQ said in a release.
Work will be performed in Waltham, Mass., and in Iraq, and is expected to be completed by March 2014.
