Joint venture nabs $219M contract mod to support Air Force complex
Joint venture of CSC, Jacobs and General Physics has won a $219 million contract to support the Arnold Engineering Development Complex with operations, maintenance and information management services.
Aerospace Testing Alliance has won a $218.6 million contract modification to provide operation, maintenance and information management and support to the U.S. Air Force.
Aerospace Testing Alliance is a joint venture between Jacobs Sverdup Inc., Computer Sciences Corp., and General Physics Corp.
Under the contract modification, the company will provide support to the Arnold Engineering Development Complex.
The complex is the largest flight simulation test facility in the world, operating 43 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units, according to its website.
Work will take place at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2014.
No funding is being obligated at the time of the award.
