Honeywell scores $550.4M option to support Air Force satellite network

Honeywell has won a $550.4 million option to support the Air Force's Satellite Control Network, which operates and maintains defense and civilian satellites.

Honeywell Technology Solutions has won a $550.4 million option to support the Air Force Satellite Control Network.

The Air Force Satellite Control Network provides support for the operation, control and maintenance of a slew of Defense Department and non-Defense Department satellites.

Under the option, Honewell will provide system and maintenance engineering, network support integration, on-site and off-site depot level maintenance and software maintenance to the Air Force. 

Work will take place in El Paso County, Colo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2016.
