DISA plans small biz intell contract
DISA issues notice for information on how small businesses can support a variety of intelligence systems as it begins planning for a new contract.
DISA is exploring the use of small businesses to support the National Ground Intelligence Center.
The agency is looking for software engineering support for intelligence production applications, support for legacy intelligence systems, information assurance, requirements management and cloud integration, according to the sources sought notice.
The formal name of the notice is National Ground Intelligence Center Intelligence Production Software Applications, and goes by the acronym NIPSA. The National Ground Intelligence Center is an Army-led center that produces intelligence on foreign ground forces. The information is used by commanders as well as researchers and policymakers.
The notice mentions several security and information assurance requirements, such as ICD 503, DCID 6/3, DIACAP and CON processes.
Potential bidders will need to have top secret clearances.
DISA is interested in hearing from all small business types, including HUBZone, service-disabled, woman-owned and 8(a).
The agency is also interested in how existing contracts, such as Encore II, the GSA Schedule, MOBIS and NASA SEWP contracts could be used to fulfill the requirement.
