Four win $24M Air Force program support contracts

Four companies have won a $24.4 million contract with the U.S. Air Force to provide research and development services for the Compact Automatic Target Recognition and Sustainable Environment program.

The winners are:

• KEYW Corp.
• SAIC
• Raytheon Co. Space and Airborne Systems
• BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration

Research will go toward making programs most efficient and cost effective, the Defense Department said.

Work will take place in Severn, Md., McLean, Va., El Segundo, Calif., and Burlington, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 15, 2020.

Funding in the amount of $500,000 is obligated at the time of the award to KEYW, SAIC and Raytheon, and $400,000 is obligated to BAE Systems. All funds expire at the end of fiscal 2013.

Seven bids were received for this contract.
