Deloitte revamps federal leadership
Deloitte's long-time federal leader has shifted to a client leadership role as a new federal CEO takes the reins.
Robin Lineberger, the leader of Deloitte’s federal business since the company acquired BearingPoint in 2009, has been shifted to a client leadership role.
Lineberger is one of several Deloitte leaders who transitioned to what the company calls “Lead Client Service” roles. The moves are part of Deloitte’s leadership rotation practice, a spokeswoman said.
A Deloitte spokeswoman said that confidentiality requirements with the client prohibited the company from saying who Lineberger will be working with.
Stepping in to lead Deloitte Federal is Maritza Montiel, Deloitte U.S. deputy CEO. A 40-year veteran of the firm, Montiel has been a managing partner since 1984. Most recently, she was head of government relations, quality and risk at Deloitte. She has held several leadership positions at Deloitte including managing partner of the company’s leadership training center, Deloitte University, and has served two terms on the company’s U.S. board of directors. She is currently serving on the Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu Limited Global board of directors.
The changes took effect in July and follow the naming of Janet Foutty as the leader of the federal consulting practice. She replaced John Gibbons, who will serve as a strategic advisor during a transition period and advance special projects for Deloitte Consulting Innovation and the Deloitte U.S. Consulting Global office.
