BAE wins $534M Air Force contract for nuclear weapon support work
BAE Systems has won a contract with the Air Force to provide a number of engineering and support services in support of the Minuteman III nuclear weapon system.
BAE Systems has won a $534.9 million contract to provide a variety of engineering and support services to the Air Force.
Under the contract, BAE Systems will provide system engineering, technical assistance support, training and development in performing integration, sustaining engineering, and program management support functions for the Minuteman III weapon system.
The Minuteman weapon system is a land-based, intercontinental ballistic missile system that is designed to deliver nuclear warheads.
Work will be performed at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, and is expected to be completed by July 2021.
Funding in the amount of $20.6 million is obligated at the time of the award.
Three bids were received for this contract.
