AT&T wins $31M HUD contract for network services

AT&T has won a $31 million contract to provide the Housing and Urban Development Department with a managed virtual private network, or VPN, to 93 of its websites across the globe.

The company will also provide the department with Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service, which will enable the agency to connect securely to the internet, AT&T said.

This contract was awarded under the General Services Administration’s Networx contract vehicle, which offers comprehensive telecommunications that provide for new technologies, industry partners and ways to achieve a more effective and efficient government, the GSA said on its website.

AT&T’s work will help the department with its modernization efforts, the company said.
