U.S., Russia reach cyber agreement

The United States and Russia have reached an agreement to reduce cyber conflict through real-time communication about incidents concerning national security, the Washington Post reported.

The agreement is the first of its kind, and builds on the two countries’ long-time goal of avoiding a nuclear war, involving the U.S. Nuclear Risk Reduction Center, the Washington Post said.

The center will now be used to warn each other of cybersecurity exercises that could otherwise be mistaken as attacks.
