Energy Department creates cybersecurity council
In order to better protect its national security assets, the Energy Department has created a cybersecurity council.
The Energy Department has created a cybersecurity council in an effort to formulate best practices related to security, InfoSecurity reported.
The council is comprehensive across all of the department’s branches, including its electricity office, its intelligence division, the office of the chief information officer, and the National Nuclear Security Administration.
The council will focus on grid reliability and protection of the department’s national security assets, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz was quoted as saying.
